A Frontend Engineer who is constantly learning the best practices of architecting software using Angular, while having scalability, maintainability, and user needs in mind. Other skills that complement the aforementioned include software testing, version control, building Progressive Web Applications, CI, and design thinking for building user-centered solutions which I find crucial in the Software Engineering process.

Frontend Engineer & Project Lead Sky.Garden, Nairobi - Kenya July 2021 - Present Angular, TypeScript, Cypress

Leading a project that is revamping the current Sky.Garden marketplace by implementing “Sky Style”, which is Sky.Garden’s Design System to revamp the Sky.Garden Marketplace to improve the shopper’s user experience and reduce the application’s loading time by 60%.


Frontend Developer Cobiro, Warsaw-Poland (Remote) June 2021 - July 2022 Angular, TypeScript, Jest

Built features for the no-code website builder to enable 350,000 users bring their business online and make use of the Google Ads feature embedded in the website builder. I also implemented Cobiro’s UI Design System to provide consistent User Experience across Cobiro’s products. This has increased the Cobiro developers’ development experience by 50% since they don’t need to write their own CSS code to implement designs provided.

Frontend Engineer (Contract) Foondi Tech, Kenya July 2020 - Mar 2021 Angular, TypeScript, Firebase, MPesa Payments

Designing and building a loan management system meant to be used by 1500 small businesses and individual loan applicants in Kenya. The system eliminates the barrier of having SMEs and SACCOs do loan applications for their customers, and instead have the customers themselves apply for loans at the comfort of their seats.

We are an education technology company providing technological tools to connect learners and tutors on demand. Our flagship product, the GCSP app, connects global learners to professional tutors who can help the learners learn anything on-demand, anywhere.

Software Engineer & Technical Lead MySpace Properties, Kenya Feb 2020 - July 2020 Angular, TypeScript, Firebase

Building a real-estate platform used by property owners, agents, and buyers to buy and sell real estate property in Kenya. The platform is meant to slash the current time it takes to buy a property from 90 days to 60 days.
Designed and built an in-house application utilizing Angular, TypeScript, HTML and CSS for tracking customers’ enquiries on real-estate property to either buy or sell.

Remote Software Developer Knackapp Oct 2019 - January 2020 Angular, TypeScript

Revamped the KnackApp business platform to improve the user experience and onboarding experience of new users of the platform using Angular, HTML, TypeScript, and SASS as the underlying technologies.
Knack uses a combination of brain science, game theory, computer and data science, digital user experience and machine learning, to help individuals know their hidden natural talents. KnackApp is used in over 100 countries and available in over 20 languages.

A simple web app that uses the Screenshot API to take screenshots of sites by using URLs. One pastes the link of the URL, provides the API key provided by the Screenshot API site and the screenshot is taken and shown to the user.
